How Do I Get My Hair Healthy Again?

Question by Jodi: How do i get my hair healthy again?
My hair is naturally really dark brown nearly black, i have dyed it bright red but its damaged badly on the ends and gose a burnt orange colour only after a few weeks where the top and middle parts stay bright red….my hair hasnt grown for almost a year now and i havent had it cut either as im trying to grow it out but im worried if i get it trimmed will it just get shorter and then not grow anymore??

I used to wash my hair every day and either straighten or curl it and also blow dry it every day but for the last 2 months i have cut dow to washing it 2-3 times a week and only straightening/curling on weekends if im going out i now only blow dry it once maybe twice a week but try not to at all….ive been putting olive oil in before each wash and have been using baby shampoo and conditioner is there anything else i can do as i would like my hair to grow and be healthy!!!! please help!!!!!!!

I recommend a good cut, deep condition every week, regular end trim, and no harsh chemicals

FOLLOW THESE BASIC TIPS TO GET HEALTHY HAIR:

OIL MASSAGE:

A good oil massage is as essential to your hair as food to your body. It helps to stimulate blood circulation in the follicles and also softens hair texture. Massage oil into your scalp using your finger tips in rotary movements.

If you are suffering from dandruff and have oily hair, massage with olive oil. It will help restore the normal acid alkaline balance of the scalp.

TIPS FOR TREATING HAIR SPLIT ENDS:

Split ends are one of the common problems that you often face. Cut off the split ends. Apply heated pure coconut oil or almond oil on the scalp and hair twice a week. Take a clean towel and dip it in hot water, squeeze out the water and wrap it around the head, leave it for five minutes. Repeat this for four to five times. This will help your scalp to absorb oil better. Leave the oil overnight and wash your hair the next morning.

I hope it helped 🙂
